State Tax Administration in Kyiv Region has registered 660 people of Kiev with incomes of $ 1 million hryvnia in 2008.

Of those citizens who are not private entrepreneurs and to make a declaration for the year 2008, 660 Kiev have declared incomes of more than 1 million hryvnia, - he said.

He noted that the total amount of their income is more than 7 billion hryvnia.

This Nizenko stressed that this is only the millionaires who were obliged to submit declarations.

He explained that the Internal Revenue Service has accurate information about how many people received in 2008 revenues in excess of 1 million hryvnia in Kiev are almost 3,5 thousand people, but if taxes are withheld, for example by a tax agent and listed in the budget, then that the millionaire has the right not to make a declaration to the tax office.

also added Nizenko, private entrepreneurs report on their activities quarterly to the tax office, stressing that even if the entrepreneur declared the income of more than 1 million hryvnia, then it does not mean that he's a millionaire, as it was not his personal income citizen, and income from entrepreneurial activities.

In 2007, the Tax registered 647 Kiev residents with incomes of more than 1 million hryvnia, and the total amount of their income exceeded 10 billion hryvnia.

As earlier reported, in general, State Tax Administration of Ukraine registered a 7.423 thousand people with incomes of more than 1 million hryvnia in 2008.
