President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, re-elected for a second term, took office. Inauguration ceremony was held today in Bishkek.

As the Voice of Russia, Bakiyev made an oath to the Constitution, after which he was presented with the symbols of presidential power - Standard and breastplate engraved with the name and term of office - until 2014

The ceremony was attended by deputies of the national parliament, members of the government, well-known politicians and public figures and foreign diplomats. It ended with twelve volleys of artillery shells.

Recall, according to official data, in the presidential elections Kyrgyzia July 23, 2009 Bakiyev received 76.12% of the vote. He was far ahead of his great rival - the candidate of the united opposition Almazbek Atambayev, who has only 8.4% of the voters. According to the CEC countries, the turnout was attended by 2 million 328 thousand 69 people, representing 79.13% of the total number of voters.

But the opposition did not accept the results of the vote, saying that Bakiev victory was achieved with the use of large-scale falsifications of administrative resources.

This view is partly supported by the observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), said that the elections in Kyrgyzstan failed to meet international standards. Among the violations of the observers in particular provide the use of administrative resources.

United States also expressed concern about the violations during the presidential election. The U.S. embassy in Bishkek said that although the electoral process had been positive developments, the opinion of the U.S. coincides with the preliminary findings of independent observers that the elections did not meet international standards.
