the Department of combating economic crime, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for the past two weeks, revealed misappropriation of budget funds in the amount of 10 mln. allocated to fund the Ministry of Rural agro-industrial complex of Ukraine to stabilize the price of sugar.

The statement was made by the Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko yesterday in an interview with journalists in Vinnitsa.

In just two weeks checking the MVD revealed numerous violations of legislation, inter alia, misappropriation of budget funds for 10 million grn. allocated to agricultural MinAPK Fund for the settlement of the price of sugar, - said Lutsenko.

In particular, Lutsenko has informed that the inspection found that officials of the private enterprises Ovas-Sugar, which is located in the village of Babin Goshchansky region Rivne region in collusion with officials of the Rivne Regional State Administration in March and April of this year realized without permission of the Government of sugar, which is subject to state regulation of pricing in quantities of 3 tons, stored in the enterprise. This sugar, as noted by the Minister, was implemented through a network of fictitious companies to businesses that provide catering personnel of Ministry of Defense at a cost of 8 grn. per kilo.
