General Director of Basic Element Oleg Deripaska and advisor companies for automotive Bo Anderson on Monday, June 22, visited the Gorky automobile plant to familiarize themselves with the current situation and discussions with management of the development prospects of the company.

At the meeting with the leadership of the plant and the GAZ Group Oleg Deripaska said: Our goal - not just to withstand the crisis period, but get out of it with new products and better quality. Mr. Anderson will help the group to implement this strategy .

At the automobile, Oleg Deripaska and Bo Anderson, who moved into the group with the Vice-President of GM, visited the manufacture of light commercial vehicles and auto components, where familiar with the results of the introduction of a new quality management system based on the standards of OPEL (GM is a company ).

In 2009, in the production of commercial vehicles of GAZ were introduced international standards of quality, previously successfully applied to production cars Sayber. Key members of the quality of experience in the GM introduced a system based on standards OPEL. It includes the provision of quality production in plants stamping, welding, painting and assembly, as well as auditing of finished cars from the standpoint of the consumer on the basis of the standard GCA (Global Customer Audit). This method allows to evaluate the quality of the car through the eyes of the most experienced and demanding motorists and provide a significant improvement in the quality of the product. Key auditors have been trained and have a certificate issued by the company in g.Russelshaym OPEL (Germany), as well as by Magna Steyr in g.Grats (Austria).

Bo Anderson praised the results of the introduction of the new quality system for production of commercial vehicles. In this context, Bo Anderson stressed that the issue of improving quality - the key to further development of the company and maintain its competitiveness in the market. During the visit he also visited three dealerships company in Nizhny Novgorod to get a view of dealers as the products. The result of the visit Bo Anderson of gas will formulate recommendations to improve the competitiveness of the company's products.

Bo Anderson also visited Ulyanovsk Motor Plant GAZ Group. He further familiarization with the company for two weeks.

Bo Anderson will be nominated to the Board of Directors of GAZ, the vote on the election which will take place at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the company. Earlier, Bo Andersen has agreed to take the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of GAZ. Bo Anderson supported the candidacy of Sberbank of Russia.
