Gazprom delegation headed by deputy chairman Alexander Ananenkov visited the construction sites of the Southern block of the first starting complex of gas-transport system (GTS), Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok.

Following a trip to Sakhalin region and Khabarovsk Krai Alexander Ananenkov held a staff meeting on construction of gas transportation system Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok, with the participation of managers and specialists of relevant departments of Gazprom subsidiaries and contractors.

Alexander Ananenkov noted that work on the beginning of construction of gas transportation system Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok are in accordance with the approved schedule. However, he stressed that it is necessary in addition to the schedule to ensure outstripping the supply of material and technical resources, taking into account the current high-availability and concentration of forces contractors. Alexander Ananenkov gave appropriate instructions, including maximizing the potential supply of products of local industry.

In September 2007 the Ministry of Industry and Energy approved the program inception in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, a unified system of gas production, transportation and supply with the possibility of gas exports to China and other Asia Pacific countries (Eastern Gas Program ). Gazprom appointed by the government coordinator for the program.

In accordance with it, the East of Russia will create new centers of gas production: Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Kamchatka and Sakhalin. The program provides for the establishment and development of a primary transmission system Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok, which will subsequently be merged with the gas pipeline from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Research and development in GTS Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok maintained in accordance with the request of the Government of Russia and the decision of the Board of Directors of OAO Gazprom.

The first section of TCU Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok will be put into operation in the 3 rd quarter of 2011. He must ensure that gas Vladivostok and commissioning of generating capacities in the Primorsky Territory, including the APEC summit in 2012.
