Daughter Gazprom oil company NIS to take part in the construction of underground gas storage facilities Banatsky Yard

NIS ( Oil Industry of Serbia) and OAO Serbiyagaz signed a package of agreements, under which the INS will take part in the construction of underground gas storage facilities Banatsky Yard (Serbia).

In the framework of treaties INS will implement the drilling and preparation for the operation of eight new wells and renovation of two existing wells in the field required for injection of gas into underground storage. Installed wells are intended not only for injection of gas in storage, but also may provide its own prey Serbiyagaz on the field.

Enter wells into operation will create the necessary conditions for the work of underground gas storage facilities in the design capacity, thus providing the necessary amount of gas for the next heating season.

At present, the company has already prepared all the NIS project design documentation and proceeded to procure the necessary equipment. Completion of work is planned for early December 2009. The total amount of contracts is more than 1 billion dinars. Portfolio will perform nefteservisny block executive directorate INS-Naftagas.

The construction of underground gas storage facilities Banatski Dvor is another step in the process of exploitation of the depleted gas field, which amounts to 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
